I wanted to make this blog post as a follow up to my Top 10 Inspirational and Motivational Quotes When You're Feeling Down post last week. This time, for all my baseball lovers out there, these are my absolute favorite baseball quotes. Its funny how a sport that many people think "is just a game" can teach you so much about life. Here are my favorites:

1) I've learned that you can't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands. You need to be able to throw something back. 

2) Life will always throw you curves, just keep fowling them off ... The right pitch will come, but when it does, be prepared to run the bases. 

3) Live life like a 3-1 count.

4) Sometimes the only thing fair in life is between the foul lines.

5) Progress always involves risk. You can't steal second without taking your foot of first.

6) Every accomplishment begins with the decision to step up to the plate.

7) Life is full of unfair calls, bad plays and missed catches. 

8) Run hard. Turn left. 

9) Nobody's perfect. Unless they go nine innings with no runs, no hits, no errors, and no runners on base. 

10) Yesterday's home runs don't win today's games.
