I love traveling and this year, I traveled more than I did in the past 5 years combined! That's actually crazy to me. I took only my 2nd trip out of the country to Montreal, traveled from California to Florida and a few other places in between. My favorite way of traveling is taking little trips throughout the year. For me, I've found that by traveling this way, not only do trips cost less, but it's also easier for my schedule to take long weekends away instead of a week or longer.

My Pinterest travel board has tons of inspiration of different locations throughout the world that I would like to one day visit.

I complied a list of my top places that I want to visit in the near future, divided into cities within the United States and other countries.

It's Black Friday and the deals are crazy! I'm not really a shopper and I don't normally shop Black Friday, BUT Sephora was having a sale and I decided to purchase some things. I didn't go crazy as most of the purchases I made were products I ran out of.

So thankful for this much needed break and long weekend off from work! There is nothing I love more than waking up on a day off and having absolutely no plans! As a matter of fact, my whole 4 day weekend for the most part is looking pretty chill which I'm happy about!

Speaking of work (but only for a moment) most days, I have a lot of down time so that leaves me browsing the internet for anything to keep myself entertained and not fall asleep at my desk, lol. I came across this personality quiz that I saw had rave reviews and according to their website, more than 100 million people have taken it and swear by the accuracy. I don't know about you guys, but oddly enough I kind of love taking these types of "tests" just to see how accurate they really are.

If you're like me, you're always looking through Pinterest for organization and planning tips and have a pinboard entirely dedicated to staying organized.

Organizing is one of my favorite things to do, from organizing my closet, to even my iPhone home screen, lol.

There are many different ways to help with organizing and planning. I used to be a heavy user of my Lilly Pulitzer agenda and carried it everywhere. I consistently used it for a whole year but as time went on, I came to realize that I don't necessarily like carrying around a big planner. Now, every organizing and planning tool that I use is app based which for me, makes it so much easier since everything is on my phone. I'll share with you all my top two apps for staying organized.

Meet Max :) He's been in my family for about 3 years now, going on 4. The story of how he became part of the family is definitely a unique one.

Happy Friday! Anyone have any fun weekend plans coming up? Mine will be pretty low-key, but that's my kind of weekend!

I wanted today's post to mainly be about blogging and my thoughts on why I think it's okay to write about whatever you want to on your blog.

Another mascara review... lol. I absolutely LOVE mascara(s). By far, it's my favorite in terms of makeup. You know those quizzes where there are questions like, "If you could only use one makeup product for the rest of your life, what would it be?" Well, my answer, hands down, no questions asked (have I affirmed that enough?) would be mascara.

A few years ago, I went through a preppy phrase where I had to have everything monogrammed. Marley Lilly was my obsession and I would be on the site pretty much everyday to see what was new. Recently they had a flash sale so of course I had to check it out. I didn't go crazy this time and I didn't purchase items that I normally would like clothing, monogrammed vests or shoes, but I had to take advantage of the flash sale. I purchased these rings and I had to get this pair of monogrammed (!!) bluetooth headphones:

Happy Tuesday! As you guys already know, this past Saturday I traveled to Philly and had a great time exploring the city! This is kind of like a part two Philly blog post, lol. Yesterday,  I shared with you my outfit which I was bundled up since the weather was pretty cold.   While in Philly, I had the perfect opportunity to take some photos with my Canon DSLR and practice using my camera. The photos below are from a few of the places I visited including Reading Terminal Market, Philadelphia Magic Gardens, Elfreth's Alley, The Book Trader and a few other random spots. Enjoy!!

Happy Monday :) It's the start of a new week! The year is almost over, can't believe it!! This past Saturday, I spent the day in Philadelphia. It was an awesome day trip, only around a 2 hour drive from the NYC area. The weather was pretty cold and chilly, only around 40 degrees for the high. I didn't mind the cold weather at all as fall/winter fashion is my absolute favorite and I love layering. The outside temperature gave me my first opportunity of the season to wear one of my favorite turtleneck sweaters that I own.

Its finally Fri-YAY!!! Lol... and that can only mean that the weekend is upon us once again. :)  I'll be the first to tell you, I live for the weekends. Nothing makes me happier more than another long work week coming to an end. To my surprise, this week actually went by pretty quickly! I'm super happy about that because tomorrow, I'll be spending my Saturday in Philly! This trip has been pretty long overdue as I was supposed to travel there over Fourth of July weekend but that didn't end up working out. Nonetheless, its finally happening and I'm thrilled to be exploring the city for my first time. My friends and I already have some places to visit in mind, but I'm totally looking forward to visiting Reading Terminal Market. Whenever I heard Philly being talked about, this famous market is always mentioned as one of the places to visit as it is one of the oldest farmers markets in the country.

Traveling to a different city is always the perfect opportunity to do some picture taking of new surroundings. I'm definitely planning on packing my DSLR and taking lots of pictures. Recently, I've been trying to use my DLSR more and not just stick to "iPhonograpy". I've actually always enjoyed photography, but just never always had the time to take pictures of my own. (I'm still working on that.) I already know it's gonna be a fun time and I'll have lots to share come next week! Since we're on the topic of photography, I'll share some of my favorites I've taken over the past few months, both DSLR and iPhone, I'll label which is which:

I took these five photos on my DSLR:

I thought this was an appropriate topic for today as "Throwback Thursdays" seem to be a popular thing across all social media platforms. :)

For the past few weeks, I've been really into listening to late 90's early 00's pop, country and R&B, (queue Soldier by Destiny's Child!) Also, does anyone remember Dream and No Secrets?? They have been my jam as of late. When I was younger I was SUPER into the whole 'bubblegum pop" era and I'm not going to lie, I totally still am!

I love reading books. When I was younger, you could find me reading every second of the day. All. Day. Everyday. My second home was the library. I'd be there everyday after school and I've probably read half of the young adult inventory, lol...

Sadly, nowadays I don't have nearly enough time to read as I once did. But every now and then, I still like to read a good book, particularly one in the sports journalism category. I love watching sports and reading about it as well opens up a whole new perspective, areas most people don't even think about while just watching a game on TV.

I have lived within the boundaries of New York City my whole life. Sometimes I feel like a fake New Yorker as I almost never take the time to explore and uncover the city I call home. Its kind of unfortunate that I can only count on one hand the amount of times that I have set foot in Central Park.

One day, I decided to venture into Central Park for a little while to take in the scenery. It's nice everyone once in a while to take the time out and explore your city.

Kittenish is the clothing site from one of my fave celebs Jessie James Decker. I love the mix of super casual to dressy and everything is perfect to mix and match. One of my favorite pieces.

Of all my favorite boutiques, I've shopped Monday Dress most frequently. Every year, their fall/winter collection is closet goals and I happened to have just purchased this poncho.

A few months ago, over Memorial Day weekend my friends and I decided to take a weekend trip to Montreal, QC. It was only my second time traveling outside of the U.S. so I was pretty excited. I love getting to experience new places and cultures and it was amazing to see just how different that was just across the border from New York. We made it a road trip, which for us was about a 6 hour drive.

One of my all time favorite things to do is to travel. I love traveling and getting to experience new places. The process of booking hotels, air, or a car nowadays have been made so simple. It takes nothing more than a few steps. There are even apps to tell you what to do when you get to your destination. We all know there are hundreds of apps out there that can help us to do all of these things, and we all have our preferences, but I've listed my favorites. I have personally used all apps before to make hotel reservations, book cars and also to find the best restaurants and activities in the area.

Fall is now in full swing and its hard to believe it's November already! This year has been flying by! But with the weather turning colder, that can only mean one thing: dry skin. On the regular, my skin tends to produce more oil than I would like, but during the late fall into winter months, it quickly changes to combination with some areas on my face becoming dry while my t-zone remains hydrated with all that great oil, (can you hear the sarcasm?)
