Review: Rimmel Shake It Fresh Mascara + My Favorite Mascara's
Tuesday, October 31, 2017I'm really picky when it comes to mascara. The formula has to be just right, not too thick and definitely not watery. Even the brush has to be just right. Though I have go-to mascara's, I'm always open to trying new ones. I haven't used many Rimmel mascara's so after seeing an ad for a NON CLUMPING(!!) mascara (every girls dream), I had to try the Shake It Fresh.
On my first use, I did notice that the consistency was a bit watery, which I didn't like. But to be fair, every mascara that is brand new has a smoother consistency than one that has been used a few times. So I didn't let that bother me. The brush was kind of harder than most other mascara wands that I'm use to using, so I had to be a little careful and not apply too hard. After building up the thickness by not shaking the tube, whenever I did to freshen the mascara, the watery consistency would unfortunately come back. Now don't get me wrong. I know exactly that is what it's supposed to do. It's supposed to be like opening a new mascara upon every use. So, it all comes down to preference. I liked this mascara whenever the thickness would build up, but its meant to be shaken. Everything isn't for everyone. But I'm still glad I tried it. Now here are my faves:
